{"id":116,"date":"2016-10-18T21:03:48","date_gmt":"2016-10-19T01:03:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/baystateseed.com\/?p=116"},"modified":"2016-10-18T21:03:48","modified_gmt":"2016-10-19T01:03:48","slug":"cultivation-is-becoming-the-culture-in-ma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/baystateseed.com\/?p=116","title":{"rendered":"Cultivation is Becoming the Culture in MA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;A proposed medical marijuana cultivation site in Littleton received support from the Board of Selectmen, enabling the applicant to continue in the state\u2019s approval process.<\/p>\n<p>Selectmen unanimously voted to approve one host community agreement with Boston-based Sanctuary Medicinals Inc. for its proposed cultivation site at 234 Taylor St.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese folks came to us with their best foot forward and wanted to be a part of the community,\u201d Selectman Chuck DeCoste said.<\/p>\n<p>Sanctuary Medicinals was one of two applicants before selectmen at their Oct. 17 meeting seeking a letter of non-opposition or support. Boston-based Mission Massachusetts also had a proposal and host community agreement for a cultivation site at 245 Foster St before the board, but was ultimately not approved because of concerns including security.<\/p>\n<p>Selectmen\u2019s letter of non-opposition for Sanctuary doesn\u2019t approve the Taylor Street facility, but only allows the applicant to continue in the state\u2019s process for Registered Marijuana Dispensary (RMD) licenses from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, which requires the letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout that expression of support or non-opposition, then a particular site cannot proceed in the state licensing process,\u201d Town Administrator Keith Bergman said.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/littleton.wickedlocal.com\/news\/20161018\/littleton-medical-marijuana-cultivation-site-receives-support\">Wicked Local, Littleton<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;A proposed medical marijuana cultivation site in Littleton received support from the Board of Selectmen, enabling the applicant to continue in the state\u2019s approval process.
